As the Portal & Applications Lead on our Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Knowledge Management (KM) Support Team you will lead a team of developers, data analysts, and system administrators who provide the operation, maintenance, enhancement, and development support for knowledge, data, and analytics management within DTRA.
This effort is a vital initiative within DTRA designed to develop, deploy, and maintain mission-critical IT solutions that enhance collaboration, data management, process streamlining, and decision-making for DTRA. This contract provides the necessary expertise and experience needed to support the Agency’s growing need for specialized systems, software, security, cloud, and KM solutions. Specific support is needed for the enterprise SharePoint and Business Intelligence Dashboard knowledge sharing systems.
Location: Ft. Belvoir, VA with time spent at NT Concepts HQ in Tyson’s Corner, VA. (Some telework may be an option).
Responsibilities
The Portal & Applications Lead shall oversees a multi-disciplined team of SharePoint developers, trainers, administrators and analysts. The team will be divided between Ft. Belvoir and NT Concepts offices.
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to
- Leading the team in project management of portal/applications team projects.
- Ensuring daily and weekly delegation of tasks.
- Working with the Government to prioritize the team’s workload.
- Reviewing and reconcile work discrepancies.
- Supervising contractor personnel.
- Communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the Government to the contractor staff.
Qualification Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience managing collaboration environments and portal service operations
- US citizen with an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Administration including familiarity with managing SharePoint online transitions
- Experience with Agile software development practices
- Exposure to DoD data management practices and policy governance
- Managing development teams
- Program Management experience within DOD with a preference for DTRA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, e-mail, and telework software.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Desired Experience:
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite to include Power Apps, Power BI
- Familiarity with BI dashboarding tools to include MicroStrategy
- Current PMI PMP certification
- Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) certification
- Understanding and experience working within the DTRA IT Directorate
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at times.
