US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE):

NT Concepts played a key role in developing a compliance management program for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to ensure conformance with the recipient reporting requirements under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). We implemented methodologies to track and audit over $6.4 billion in contract and grant obligations, helping USACE become one of the leading compliance agencies within the government.

The Challenge:

Data in USACE’s ARRA recipient reports was inaccurate and not readily accessible, which strained USACE resources who had to manually identify and verify reports. The combined result of these factors was a reported 34% compliance rate with the ARRA requirements.

The Solution:

To improve their ARRA reporting numbers, USACE hired NT Concepts to implement best practice methodologies in compliance management, performance, and data verification. We quickly realized that full compliance was dependent on rapid data cleansing and process improvement within the organization. We devised and implemented a compliance management program that improves data validation techniques, automates reporting procedures, and establishes a long-term quality management protocol for all USACE Recovery Act awards.

NT CONCEPTS IS A LEADING SMALL BUSINESS PROVIDER OF PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SERVICES.

In the third quarter of 2010, USACE reported a 99.9% compliance rate for recipient reporting, ranking it as a top compliant federal agency under the Recovery Act*. NT Concepts was recognized with an official Letter of Commendation and a Meritorious Service Medal. We continue to help USACE maintain its leading compliance rate by controlling data quality issues for over 4,000 contracts, providing enhanced management of federal resources.
